The Council While Forgefire does have a founder, it is not a monarchy, nor is it a dictatorship. Instead, it is a council, and much of the decision making will take place using a voting system. Common Voting topics: -topics relating to relations with other guilds (alliances, etc..) -promotion to officer -aesthetic changes (official colors, etc…) -replacement of a council member While these are not all of the topics to be voted on by the council, these should give you an idea of impact council votes will have on the day to day guild life.
For all other important decisions, we will be utilizing a “triad” system. This means that if a council member would like to take action on something, he must consult with 2 other council members before doing so. Using this method, we can allow the guild to make quick decisions, without requiring a full vote. Common Triad system topics: -New Recruits -Movement from one house to another -Removing a player from guild Again, while these are just some of the decisions being made using the “triad” system, you should now better understand how these decisions will impact daily guild life.
The Houses The guild is made up of several houses, each led by a council member. These houses represent a selection of different play styles. In this way, a wide variety of players are able to come together in one guild, and yet still be part of a group that best reflects their individual style. Each house has it’s own story, symbol, and color.
House Ardens Once known as “The Burning House” because on more than one occasion, a sparring session would end in the entire building catching fire! House Ferro The first general to reside over house Ferro, is quoted as saying “There is little else in this life I love more than to see my enemies fall at my feet.” This quickly became the credo of House Ferro. If you seek members of this house, simply follow the smoke rising from beyond the horizon. If there’s a battle raging, you can be sure to find members of House Ferro wading among the chaos. They thrive on war, and will seldom do anything else. This house is known for being intimately familiar with the enemy, and it is because of this that they tend to run in tight formation, making quick maneuvers to strike at the heart of the enemy and then escape almost completely unnoticed. This house is recommended for: -Hardcore PvPers (note: all other houses will also PvP regularly, Ferro will be more focused on group strategies and organization) -Older Players -Players interested in tightly organized gameplay House Ferro is almost exclusively PvP oriented.
